Congratulations, you found it!

By publishing the agenda to this website rather than copying it and mailing it to all of the churches, the classis has saved a considerable amount of money.  Of course, that is a great blessing at this time.  Here is the agenda for the meeting:

09-10-06 Agenda

It is a rather large file, so please be patient as it may take a moment or two for the file to open.

Please print out all necessary copies for your delegates, or, copy it to the computer that you bring to the Classis meeting.

Location for this meeting is Escalon.  Coffee and socialization at 8:30, the meeting will begin at 9:00.

Credentials will come to the church through the mail.  Otherwise, you can always view them and print them from the CRC’s website:http://www.faithaliveresources.org/samples/Classical%20Credentials.pdf

Thank you for the additional work you have done to make this possible.

We will see you all on Oct. 6

UPDATE:

At the release of the agenda, the Stated Clerk neglected to include a request for funds from the Bakersfield properties.  The report had been send to the NCD for advice, but since the discussion would be coming to the floor, the request would be good for all to have and see in order to prepare.  That request is attached here: Request for Funds Transcribed

UPDATE #2:

In response to the previous letter to Classis, the NCD has responded and has provided the Classis with the motion they will be bringing to the floor along with grounds.  That document is located here: NCD response to Hanford  It is another document that I commend to your attention.

Here are the minutes from the most recent CMB meeting.  A hard copy will be mailed out later today.

Also, there is a version of that brochure with three images per sheet – it might be more pubishing friendly.  That can be found here: WitvlietPsalmsCircular_3 per sheet

Finally, any church that needs to send credentials but lost the mailing, those credentials can always be found here : http://www.faithaliveresources.org/samples/Classical%20Credentials.pdf.

Here is a link to the agenda for our March 10 meeting of Classis.  A hard copy will still be sent to all of the churches and is forthcoming

 09-03-10-agenda

At the January 8 meeting of the CMB we discussed the upcoming meetings of Classis.  Recently, we have decided to move to 3 meetings a year with one meeting focusing on education and encouragement.   We decided to pursue Prof. John Witvliet of Calvin Seminary (see below for information on Prof. Witvliet) as a speaker for that meeting.  However, Prof. Witvliet was unavailable until June 13.  Therefore, we have made some changes to the meeting dates for this year’s classis meeting.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10.   Kevin Adams is the scheduled chair and a hosting church will be found in the Ripon/ Modesto area.  This will be a normal business meeting.

The following meeting will be on Saturday,  June 13.  This will be our educational/ encouragement meeting with special guest Prof. John Witvliet.

The final meeting will be unchanged and will be held on Tuesday, October 6.

Please make the necessary updates to your calendar.

Thank you all.
